SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 24

Recognizing the outstanding achievements of the West Virginia
association of developmental educators.
Whereas, The national association of developmental
educators is an organization dedicated to the development of
academically challenged students throughout the nation; and
Whereas, The West Virginia association of developmental
educators was formed in 1989 to assist West Virginia's
academically challenged young adults as they prepare for the
rigorous challenges of educational experiences of higher
education; and
Whereas, The national association of developmental
educators held its annual national conference in Chicago,
Illinois, in February, 1995, and presented the West Virginia
association of developmental educators with an award for being
the most outstanding new chapter in the nation and for being the
most aggressive state association in the pursuit of its
assistance to young West Virginians who desire to further their
education; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby recognizes the outstanding
achievements of the West Virginia association of developmental
educators for their dedication and aggressive pursuit in the
interest of academically challenged West Virginians who wish to
pursue an education in our institutions of higher education; and,
be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby requested to
forward a copy of this resolution to the president of the West
Virginia association of developmental educators.
